A short note about your device and what you saw helps the Bureau file faster:
- iPhone or iPad model and iOS version.
- App version and build (Settings → About).
- What you tapped, what you expected, what happened instead.
- If exports are involved: which CSV profile and the destination folder.
Common Questions
Why does the app ask for financial data permission?
Statement Bureau reads your eligible Wallet transactions through Apple's FinanceKit framework so it can produce CSV exports. The app cannot read any data until you grant permission, and it never transmits financial data off your device.
I granted permission but no accounts appear.
FinanceKit only exposes accounts that Apple's framework reports as eligible on your device. If your Wallet shows accounts but Statement Bureau doesn't, restart the app, then verify access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Financial Data → Statement Bureau.
Where do exported CSV files go?
Manual exports prompt for a location each time. Automatic exports (Bureau Chief) write to a folder you pick once. iCloud Drive locations sync via your own iCloud account.
Automatic export hasn't run in days. Why?
iOS only refreshes Statement Bureau in the background when the app isn't force-quit and the system has free time and power. Open the app every few days to keep the schedule active. If you force-quit the app, background refresh stops until you launch it again — this is an iOS rule, not an app bug.
I bought Bureau Chief on another device. How do I unlock here?
In Settings → Subscription, tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. Bureau Chief is family-shareable.
How do I turn off automatic export?
Open Settings in Statement Bureau and toggle Automatic export off. You can leave Bureau Chief unlocked for later — turning the toggle off is reversible.
How do I revoke Wallet access?
iOS controls financial data permission. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Financial Data → Statement Bureau and toggle access off. The app will stop reading Wallet data immediately.
How do I delete my data?
Statement Bureau does not store financial data on a server. To clear local app preferences, delete the app. To delete an exported CSV, delete it from Files or iCloud Drive.
